Private Instruction
All classes are taught in the comfort of the Safe Pace Defense facility. Complementary light snacks and refreshments available during all class sessions.
Please note that loaded firearms and live ammunition are always prohibited in the Safe Pace Defense facility.
Classes will start on-time. Doors open 30 minutes prior to start of class.
Private Multi-State Concealed Carry Permit (Price covers 2 people)
This is the is the ultimate intro to firearms course. This course is private instruction for 1 or 2 people (Additional students can be accommodated for additional fee). Covering basic functionality of firearms and ammunition, the legal requirements and responsibilities for gun owners and CCW holders, the basics of weapon handling and operation, and fundamental marksmanship. This class is taught in the safe pace facility utilizing our Smokeless Range shooting simulator. It doesn’t matter if you have never even held a pistol before, or you are an experienced shooter looking meet the CCW requirements taught based on your current level of experience. This class will cover all requirements for the Oregon and Utah CCW permits, taught with a hands on method. This combination of permits will allow you to carry concealed in 35 states including Washington. Tuition includes all required applications, required headshot photos and fingerprinting.

Youth Safety and Marksmanship
This class is designed for youth and parents to learn firearms safety and responsibility in a safe and professional learning environment, together. We will cover safe handling and storage of pistols and rifles, what to do if you find a gun, and everyone will get to learn fundamental marksmanship on the Smokless Range shooting simulator together. There is no minimum age for enrollment, parents are asked to use discretion based on their child's level of maturity for this serious topic. Youth will be expected to behave with the same level of maturity as if this were a live fire shooting range. Parent or Guardian must be present for entirety of class and is expected to take an active role in course.

Firearms Maintenance
This class is geared towards gun owners who don’t know the proper methods for safely cleaning and maintaining their firearms. Using the firearms that you own, you will learn how to safely confirm that the gun is clear & safe, proper disassembly, proper cleaning techniques, and reassembly. This class is a private instruction based course that can accommodate up to six students. Tuition includes a cleaning kit for you to take home and keep. If you are a couple that is sharing ONE firearm, second person will only cost $45.

Intro to Red Dot
Have you considered putting a red dot optic on your pistol but don’t really know how to choose the right one, or how to use it? This class will answer all of those questions. We will cover the pros and cons of a pistol optic, proper installation and maintenance, proper aim & sight picture, and spend much of the class in the simulator learning new skills hands on.

Pistol Skill Building
This class is designed for anyone who is looking to improve their skills as a shooter. Whether you are a brand new shooter or you carry a gun daily, we can work with you to improve your skills. We will cover proper stance, grip, sight picture, trigger press, movement and target acquisition, 95% of this class will be in the simulator and drills will be based on your current skill level. The simulator has over 900 scenarios and drills that can be tailored to the skill level of ANY shooter. At the end of each session, students will be given a list of drills to practice at home based on their current skill level. Classes are designed for linear progression, each time you come in we will pick up where we left off

Defensive Pistol Skills
This course is similar to the Pistol Skill Builder but the focus will be necessary skills and practices for a CCW holder. We will start out with some basic drills to establish a baseline and work with you based on your current skill level. This class is designed to build confidence and knowledge no matter what your current skill level with focus on proper carry methods, proper draw and use of pistol. With over 900 programs saved in the simulator, you can answer all of your “what if” questions in a way that isn’t otherwise possible. At the end of each session, students will be given a list of drills to practice at home based on their current skill level. Classes are designed for linear progression, each time you come in we will pick up where we left off.

Intro to Modern Sporting Rifle
The AR15 style rifle is the most popular modern sporting rifle in the US. In the last few years we have seen an a massive increase in their popularity and sales, many to first time owners. This class is designed to work with current and potential owners of modern sporting rifles to learn proper safety, handling and maintenance. All students will have the opportunity to test their marksmanship with an AR15 style rifle on the smokeless rage shooting simulator.

Group Simulator Training (Shoot for Fun!)
This class is based around you and your group. We will start with some baseline drills to assess the skill level of each shooter and base the session around you. This is your time to learn and have fun doing it. We can shoot pistols, rifles, or shotguns, we can work on defensive drills or we run different games that are not only fun but will improve your marksmanship at the same time.
